3/27/2020 Statement regarding COVID-19

Hopefully this email finds you enjoying the extra time we have been given with our families. We at Nampa Babe Ruth continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation to make sure we’re doing the right thing for the health and safety of our volunteers, our players, and the communities we live. Earlier this week there were significant announcements from the Idaho State Board of Education and from the office of the Idaho Governor, Brad Little. We just wanted to take a moment to re-share this information and let you know how this extends the impact to Nampa Babe Ruth and your family.

Following the guidance of Idaho’s public health experts, Governor Brad Little issued a statewide stay-home order for all Idahoans. The stay-home order requires citizens to self-isolate at home if you can, not just if you are sick. People must limit all discretionary travel. People must limit all non-essential gatherings of any number of individuals outside the household. When you go for a walk, run, bike ride, or other outdoor recreation near your home, stay 6-feet away from individuals who are not part of your household. The statewide stay-home order is effective 3/25/2020 and will remain in effect for 21 days (4/15/2020). Governor Little and public health officials will evaluate later whether to extend the order past 21 days.

Given the current situation, the NBR Board of Directors requires that all volunteers, players and coaches comply with these orders by following national CDC guidelines pertaining to gatherings of people and social distancing. We must take these necessary precautions as we endure this tough and frustrating situation. We will continue to keep players and parents updated on any changes for the league as we go forward over the coming weeks.

As always, please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Stay safe and healthy.
